You will receive a message asking you to update to 1.04 in the next few hours or so.
The iTunes version is 1.04, but the in-game version is v1.1, as it is a pretty big update!

1.04
- Major speed overhaul, the game is now very quick, even on EDGE/GPRS.
- Comma separated numbers (e.g. 1 Million $ is displayed as $1,000,000)
- Changes to the buying and selling (options are now 1,3,5,10)
- Fight list refreshes after every fight

The 1.04 Update is due for release in the next few days and includes:

New website is now live!
The new Gang Warfare website is now live and fully functional.. New features will be added over the next few weeks to improve the experience, but this is already a million times more sleek than the draft site.
